Back to Blogging

It's been a while, but after a bit of time away and a renewed sense of creativity I have decided to get back in to blogging.

Since I've been gone a lot has happened, we lived through Covid, my eldest took his GCSEs and has gone to college and I turned the big 4 0.

I have moved house twice, moving from our family home to my first home purchased on my own and after divorce, something in itself which felt like a huge step in finding peace.

I lost my grandad to cancer, my great aunty to Covid and my dad is sadly suffering from Frontotemporal Dementia. This has had a huge impact on my own life not least because my mum has become his carer and I have lost my dad, but last year I made the decision to become sober in an attempt to try and give my brain as much chance as possible.

During lockdown I started writing screenplays and I have found great pleasure in this, making some new friends and hobbies along the way.

Biggest change of all was my beautiful youngest finding themselves and changing from Mila to Zeke, his transition from being a girl to boy was an emotional one, he had to try on a few different t-shirts before finding one that fits but he has been much happier as being Zeke.

Now I'm the mum of two boys, it's not much different as they are both still wonderfully loving, creative and kind, it's just instead of one lot of boxers to wash, it's two.

But in all honesty, the love I have for his bravery and who he has become and the community on whole has been a humbling experience.

I changed jobs and have spent some time in Bristol, a city I have come to love, as well going to festivals, visits to London and weekends away so all in all it's been a busy five years (oh and we got Budgie named Bloops).

I've also joined a group who help rescue wildlife, with pigeons being my main passion. The unloved of all of our wildlife and totally misunderstood. The rescuer in me falling in love with these beautiful but discarded members of society.

I have missed blogging, writing my experiences and thoughts in a place I can share, I spent a lot go my time on Instagram documenting life though so it hadn't ended completely.

Here are just a few pics from time over the past five years.....
